Finally, Some Feather Weather!

Though it's been mainly dull and overcast in these parts since way before Christmas, there was a momentary break in the clouds yesterday which I took as my cue to get down the park with the camera round my neck to see who and what was up and about.

As it turned out, there was a good variety of our feathered friends flitting hither and thither and I was happy to have the chance to snap a few of them, as you can observe in the rogue's gallery below.

It was uplifting too to catch a glimpse and take a snap or two of these fantastic creatures as they are pretty elusive at the best of times.

Still, if a creature fifty times your size started following you around and kept pointing a fairly menacing-looking heavy object right at you, you'd hardly be delighted about it either.

Pleasure indeed was all mine.
